Co-founders were research associates at the CIBRA - Centro Interdisciplinare di Bioacustica e Ricerche Ambientali at the Pavia University - Italy. Our interest on underwater bio-acoustics started in 1994, when we received a grant to study acoustic censusing methodologies for Marine Mammals in the Mediterranean Sea. In over 20 years we have been working in many many projects. We took part to oceanographic cruises on several big ships (R/V Alliance - NATO, R/V Endeavor - Rhode Island University, N/I Galatea & N/I Magnaghi - Italian Navy, R/V Leonardo - NATO) and many small ones, always dealing with underwater bio-acoustics and acoustic censusing and localization of Marine Mammals and remote sensing. We have also been working on passive acoustic mitigation procedures, to keep as low as possible the impact of man-made noise at sea. We do import, optimize and distribute many brands of underwater acoustic sensors together with environmental monitoring equipment and we can be considered as providers for underwater bio-acoustic monitoring needs and environmental monitoring solutions. Collateral to this activity, which is our core activity, we started a second branch of interests, developing interactive exhibits for science museums.
