The Ladybird Foundation is a small, new charity (DGR2, registered in WA), formed in 2014 to support breast and gynaecologic cancer research in Western Australia. The Ladybird Foundation offers the Western Australian community an opportunity to donate to research in the fields of breast and gynaecologic cancers with the funds raised to be distributed to excellent researchers working in Western Australia. Run entirely by volunteers, The Ladybird Foundation is in the process of developing all the essential features currently required of a Public Ancillary Fund with the aim of becoming a sustainable organisation in the long term. The Ladybird Foundation has been fortunate to receive invaluable pro bono assistance in the form of services in the establishment of the organisation from several high-profile businesses in our community.
