The Career Development Cell (CDC) of IIT Dharwad is a student-driven body that endeavours to nurture the careers of all the students of the institute. It serves as the nodal point for companies seeking to establish beneficial relationship with IIT Dharwad. As the name itself suggests, CDC is not just a placement cell but the career development cell and hence, whether it is placements and internships or mentoring for higher education, it helps the students with everything that proves to be fruitful in shaping their career. CDC provides the best possible assistance to the recruiters as well as students. The major roles of CDC include: • Inviting organisations to the campus with the aim of providing placements and internships to the students • Managing all logistics of arranging for tests, pre-placement talks and other assistance to the recruiters • Organising lectures and workshops for students to provide supplemental information on career counselling, interview techniques, soft skills development and a variety of other domains. • Mentoring pursuits of higher education
