“ If we had a clean canvas, what would we do to unlock our potential fully? ” Conferre’s assists talented Leadership Teams and Boards work through this question. We assist in three ways, by: (1) Running a highly efficient and fast "Clean Canvas Retreat exercise", that answers this question by tapping the full expertise of the stakeholder group, in conjunction with pivotal data insights generated as part of a preparation, all in a way that builds strong stakeholder alignment for successful and expeditious execution; (2) Undertaking a "Breakthrough Strategic Insight Analysis" in the case of more intractable problems that require breaking new ground, and also analysis that is used to identify the opportunity to disrupt an industry and market; and (3) Being a "Trusted Thought Partner", to bounce around ideas of direction, and ways to approach them. Novel tools are used in this work: a ‘stakeholder perspective synthesis’ for the first, and a ‘creative triangulation analysis’ for the second. These 'ways and tools' have been honed across three decades of experience in this field by conferre’s founder Mark McLean, across a diversity of industries and markets, leadership styles, organisation / operating / business models, and geographical regions. -- At present we are building a series of videos to share the learnings drawn from this experience, as the ‘Lift Initiative’.
