CSIR acts as custodian for: Primary standards of measurements; bio-resources, and traditional knowledge. CSIR is the nation’s flag bearer in: Intellectual Property generation and protection. CSIR builds the country’s largest S&T human resource: This is through research grants, fellowships, awards, post graduates in niche areas and Ph.Ds in science and engineering.
