HTL hotels – 4 star quality and smartness HTL hotels was an innovative new hotel chain, offering hotels with the best city center locations for the modern traveler who appreciates high quality, modern design, personalized service and an attractive price in combination with smart digital solutions for an improved travel experience. The idea is to provide a hotel that strips away any gimmicks and instead improves the quality of everything hotel guests value most. Only what's necessary and only the best. The first HTL opened in Stockholm, May 2014 and two HTLs opened in Oslo during spring 2015. The fourth one will open in Stockholm during fall 2015. HTL hotels have been rebranded and redone as Scandic hotels. After two successful years with acknowledgements by guests from 100 different countries, recognition by Wallpaper* City Guides, Time Out and The Guardian, HTL has merged into Scandic.
