DriveQuant designs and operates connected solutions that improve the prevention of risks related to mobility and provide real-time assistance and valuable services to drivers. The combination of state-of-the-art telematics technologies for collecting driving data via smartphone-as-a-sensor (SMaaS) and connected tags (IoT), with advanced scoring capabilities based on physical models and mathematical optimisation, helps motor insurance and mobility professionals to design connected programs to improve driving behaviours, decrease road risk, reduce the environmental footprint of mobility and optimise the costs associated with the consumption and wear and tear of vehicles. In the field of motor insurance, DriveQuant services enable insurance carriers to co-design connected and usage-based insurance (UBI) programs with risk profiling, fairer pricing, positive underwriting and better knowledge of policyholders, automation of claims processes, fraud detection and theft tracking. Policyholders become "prosumers" who play a key role in the design of their policies and benefit from valuable services such as real-time accident detection and assistance, coaching and rewards for continuous behaviour improvement as well as eco-driving programs. DriveQuant services can be seamlessly integrated into existing mobile applications via Software Development Kits (SDKs) or can be deployed through Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and turnkey white label applications. DriveQuant was founded in February 2017 after several years of research and development at IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN), a French institutional player in research and training in the energy, transport, and environment sectors.
