PERCUSSION EDUCATION Set up in 1996, One Voice Music is one of the UK's leading providers of education and training in Brazilian and Cuban percussion. We run residential workshops and modular courses for all levels of ability. We have a pool of highly respected tutors led by company founder Ravin Jayasuriya. We recognise how differently individuals learn and ensure that all who take part are encouraged and informed so that they make real progress in their understanding of the music, further their abilities and completely enjoy their learning experience. We create a safe, supportive learning environment where participants can develop their technical and musical skills as well as finding the courses beneficial in increasing confidence and personal development. OVM is firmly established in the UK as one of the main sources for developing percussion skills and is recognised for providing life changing opportunities. PERCUSSION TEAMBUILDING One Voice Music also presents corporate teambuilding activities and is renowned for presenting drumming sessions that energise a group of people, and help them to work together towards a common goal. Research shows that individuals’ attitudes and teambuilding skills improve immediately after percussion exercises. Creativity is encouraged and stress levels are reduced. Our percussion teambuilding activities can be tailored to each client’s requirements and offered as an enhancement to the client’s conference or event, and meet the overall training and development objectives. Sessions can be personalised to suit the client’s needs and their business values, brand and culture are integrated fully into the workshop/s provided. Sessions can take place in the workplace or at the client’s choice of venue. We aim to create a safe, supportive learning environment where people can develop their skills, increase their confidence, and, most importantly, have fun! Participant numbers can vary from as little as ten to several hundred.
