My name is Dave Sichterman, founder and owner of Arete 360 Leadership Coaching and Consulting. I develop leaders by coaching them to advance in their careers, build teams, and grow businesses. Through my one-on-one and group coaching programs, leadership workshops, and speaking engagements, I give leaders the framework to begin building a positive leadership legacy and become the leader everyone wants to follow. Who wouldn’t want to be that kind of leader? Throughout my career, I often looked for mentoring opportunities or guidance in building my leadership skill set. For me, these opportunities never presented themselves. After working over twenty years as a senior-level administrator in higher education, I decided that I wanted to reach out to a larger audience. An audience of emerging leaders that are, like I was, hungry for information on how to effectively lead a team. I decided to name my company Arete 360, based on the Greek word that exemplifies the pursuit of excellence with character. The positive leadership workshops, group, and one/one coaching sessions that I have created are all built upon this philosophy. Working as a collegiate athletic director and head coach at NCAA, NAIA and USCAA universities, I have gained years of valuable organizational leadership experience that I incorporate into all of my programs. These experiences in intercollegiate athletics also drive my collaborative approach with my audience to help them become champions in their industry and personal lives. I am also a speaker for the Positive Coaching Alliance. I work with organizational leaders, coaches, parents, and athletes to develop positive cultures and experiences that develop young adults into “better athletes, better people.” In addition to college basketball coaching experience, I have coached football at the youth, high school, college and international levels. I am high school sports official working in the sports of football, basketball and baseball.
