Michael Goodhart Photography
www.michaelgoodhartphotography.comPhotographer Biography I was born in rural western New York in 1979 and have spent most of my life on the east coast, but my full-fledged passion for photography was brought to light in Idaho in 2004. When I worked at the University of Idaho for three years as a residence hall director, I was surrounded by farmland set upon beautiful and expansive rolling hills in a region called the Palouse. Colorful fields of wheat and lentils stretched out for miles and miles. These were fertile grounds not just for agriculture but also for a budding photographer. The first few years of my work were guided more by intuition than technical skill. We all have to start somewhere, and I practiced observing landscapes and viewing them from different perspectives. After moving to Bridgewater, Massachusetts in 2006, I took more seriously the details in creating imagery that meet my intentions. New England has been a generous source of photography for me through these years. All four seasons are represented there, so I was able to experience landscapes that take on entirely different personalities depending on the time of year. I now live in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, a prime location in the gorgeous Outer Banks where sandy beaches and lighthouses are plentiful. I hope you enjoy the work that I've shared and will continue to build upon. All photographs are available for purchase as high-quality paper prints matted or unmatted, metal (aluminum) prints, and on canvas. I'll gladly customize any order to create decor that best matches your needs/desires.
