Nashville Music Guide
www.nashvillemusicguide.comTo music people in Nashville & around the world it is known that the NMG is “publicizing singers, musicians & writers to Music Row & beyond,” as each issue declares on its cover. Billy Dee was the first entertainer to appear on the cover, along with a feature on bluegrass legend Bill Monroe, the NMG's premier print edition appeared in Oct, 1995. Under the founders, Dan Wunsch & Brad Fischer, the NMG profiled current & future stars like Steel Magnolia, Keith Urban, Warren Brothers, Kimberly Dahme & Amanda Williams, also top Music Row & radio execs. including Scott Borchetta, Ken Kragen, Pat Higdon & Rod Essig. Years later, Dan met another entrepreneur with a passion for country music named Randy Matthews. Matthews & Wunsch ran into each other from time to time at showcases & struck up a friendship. Eventually, Wunsch revealed that he wanted to sell NMG & Randy saw an opportunity to invest in his own passion for country music & Nashville. Matthews made the major investment of purchasing NMG in 2010. Now, the NMG has become the most widely read music magazine in Music City, & its Website is ranked No. 2 of more than 21 Million sites on Google under the category Nashville music. Best of all, NMG doesn’t just promote & write about the tiny number of artists & writers who have major-label deals or staff songwriter contracts. It has always helped the thousands of lesser known Nashville singers, players & writers with little recognition.
