The Pleiades Project creates new performance opportunities for female artists who wish to express the strength, unique vision, and individuality of their art. Founded in 2015, The Pleiades Project was inspired by hundreds of dedicated female artists that are gifted, creative, and true examples of what it means to bring art and beauty into the world. We wanted to create a space that was dedicated to those artists, as well as a space that could bring the art that we are excited about to new audiences. As artists working in a digital world, we are passionate about bringing our art form to a wide and diverse audience. To that end, we are creating short films that integrate classical music and film in a creative and seamless way. We are committed to working with talented female creatives, including directors, designers, editors, engineers, and crew members. Our first short film, Così was released in 2016, and the second film, Ophélie will be released at the end of 2017. In addition to these short films, we are actively creating live events, creating a video series spotlighting female artists that we are excited about across all genres, and developing a video series that re-imagines the 24 Italian Songs and Arias. Our mission is to promote and develop the work of female-identifying composers, creators, technicians, and performers in order to create a more rich and vibrant world of fine art.
