customX GmbH was founded in 2002 by Klaus Kreckel. Based on his long experience with CAD, Klaus Kreckel launched his configuration software customX on the market in the same year. Today, customX GmbH still focuses on this product configurator which, since it's market launch, has been successfully implemented in many companies. The continuous further development of the software enables adaption to modern companies and markets and facilitates change. Business processes are optimized. Today, customX GmbH has ten employees – mainly highly qualified engineers, who form an experienced team because of their long-time collaboration. The CEO, Klaus Kreckel, on the philosophy of the company: “For us, the long-term perspective is important. We are a long-term partner for our customers, a partner that deals with orders competently and reliably. Making our customers’ processes efficient and thereby getting satisfied customers - that is what is important for customX." Since 2009, customX GmbH has been majority-owned by Mensch und Maschine Software SE, one of the leading suppliers of CAD/CAM applications and PDM solutions with subsidiaries in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Great Britain, Belgium, Poland, Romania, Spain, the USA, Brazil, Japan and the Asia-Pacific region. Mensch und Maschine (named Man and Machine outside German speaking countries) was founded in 1984 and has its headquarters in Wessling near Munich in Germany.
