The approach to the art of traditional galleries is based on a selection of artists who work closely with the gallery itself, creating an exclusive relationship in which the gallery supports the artist's growth in the market. This situation has the advantage of helping the artist to increase his fame and therefore also his success in the market, but potentially puts the investor in a risky situation. This limits diversification and, in the event that the artist stops collaborating with the gallery, his listing on the market could be affected. Our experience in the world of alternative investments in wine showed how necessary and profitable diversification is also within a portfolio of the same asset.
