The European Law Students’ Association – ELSA Joensuu ry is a part of the European network of law students. ELSA Joensuu was formed in 2013 by seven local law students. The association acts as the link for the University of Eastern Finland’s law students to other Finnish and European universities. We invite all future lawyers to join us, visit our events and give suggestions about new activities. Welcome! About ELSA With 48,000 members ELSA is the world’s largest independent law students’ association. ELSA provides opportunities for international exchange, diversified legal education and personal professional development for law students and young lawyers. Our members are law students and recent graduates who have an academic focus and have demonstrated commitment to international issues. ELSA operates primarily through its Local Groups, which are located at nearly 300 law faculties in universities throughout 41 countries in Europe. ELSA Helsinki, ELSA Rovaniemi and ELSA Turku and ELSA Joensuu are the Finnish Local Groups. Their activities are coordinated by National Group, ELSA Finland.
