Health Units SA was established by Law 3293/2004 as a legal entity of private law in the form of a “Societe Anonyme”, the Greek State being its sole shareholder. Health Units SA operates for the public interest benefit in accordance with the rules of the competitive economy. According to the aforesaid Law, Health Units SA is supervised by the Ministry of Health and Social Solidarity. The management and financial operation of Health Units SA, as a state –owned company, is governed by the provisions of Law 3429/2005.
