Cornerstone Christian Academy is a K-6 elementary school located at the base of the Catalina mountains in Tucson, Arizona. As a covenant school, Cornerstone is designed for children from committed Christian homes who desire to delegate teaching responsibilities for their children to believers with a similar worldview. Our hope is that our children will see all of life and learning as a unified whole through the redemptive principles of the Scriptures as a worldview lens. Influenced by 19th century scholar Charlotte Mason, our curriculum is both classical and comprehensive. Classical education is a conscious return to the academic disciplines and methodologies which sparked the flowering of Western Christendom over the past 1000 years. Our curriculum is broad, deep, skill-based and enriching. It is the education you wish you'd had. Founded in 1998, our school currently serves over 170 students in grades K-6 with an average student/teacher ratio of 14:1. The 22,000 sq. foot facility holds thirteen homerooms and dedicated music and art rooms. In the spirit of “no child held behind,” we allow children to accelerate in math, master decoding skills in first grade, and participate in academic competitions. Our achievement test scores are consistently in the top twenty percent in the nation.
