Welcome to the International School Mainfranken. Located in the heart of Germany’s picturesque wine growing region, Franconia, we offer a challenging and inspiring programme of education to students in Grades 1-12 from Germany and all over the world. As an accredited International Baccalaureate World School our principles are closely allied to the IB Learner Profile, developing independent, caring, internationally minded life-long learners, ready to take their place in our 21st Century global society. Alongside the IB Diploma Programme we also offer the internationally recognized Cambridge IGCSE at the end of Year 10 and are a candidate school for the IB Primary Years Programme. Central to our philosophy are the IB principles of community and service, and our students, staff, parents and supporters all work together to create a thriving environment built on mutual respect and support. We supplement our curriculum through a wide range of events and extracurricular activities and offer individual support in both English and German for second language speakers. Currently supporting over 110 students from 26 different countries and with keen and committed staff from 5 different continents, we are proud of our unique community and dedicated to providing the best possible education to our students.
