nygårdsanna is a Swedish slow fashion brand created in 1994 by Mora native Nygårds Anna Bengtsson. After her studies at the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås, and Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm she chose to only work with natural materials and local production. Sustainability has always been woven into the DNA of the company. With a delicate attention to detail and traditional craftswomanship Nygårds Anna's collections do not follow trends. Instead, we believe that true sustainability is found in the combination of responsibly chosen materials, and timeless shapes that can be worn year after year. Transparency is important for nygårdsanna. We only use natural materials, preferring linen, wool, and ramie. The linen we use is grown in France and Belgium, and woven in Lithuania. Our denim is made from GOTS certified organic cotton and recycled material, woven in Portugal. We produce locally within Europe according to high sustainability and working condition standards. Since the start almost all of the production is located in Estonia.
