Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue is a 501(c)3, not for profit organization, formed in 2014 by a small group of devoted animal lovers, in the Council Bluffs/Omaha area, with many years of rescue experience wanting to make a difference in the lives of animals. Our rescue is an all-species rescue, specializing in cats, dogs and pocket pets. Muddy Paws is all volunteer based and all of our rescue pets are living in their owner's homes or the homes of our volunteers. Our rescue is unique in that not only do we take into foster care homeless pets, but we also offer supportive services, such as education and training for owners in an attempt to keep pets in their loving homes whenever possible. In addition, we offer placement assistance to owners attempting to rehome their pets through social media sites, which can often be risky for the pets as well as the owners. Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue is forefront in spay/neuter efforts in both rural and urban communities of Nebraska and Iowa. Muddy Paws Rescue needs foster parents as well as trainers, groomers, fundraisers and transporters. We also need people to help with the data base, websites and adoption activities.
