Acting, also known by the acronym AFW (ActingForWater), is a Geneva-based NGO that encourages the engagement of all to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged communities by supporting access to their basic needs. The association was born in 2018 at the initiative of highly influential personalities, convinced that ending poverty must go hand in hand with economic and social growth strategies, while fighting against climate change and environmental protection. To achieve its goals, Acting proposes a more humanistic approach to new digital technologies by connecting the actors of the common good. The NGO thus participates in the evolution of associative structural models to adapt to the landscape and to the new logics of the stakeholders included within the projects. Driven by humanitarian concerns for the most vulnerable populations, Acting does not belong to any political or religious group. It is committed to ensuring that its actions are guided by the values of professionalism, non-discrimination based on ethnicity, skin color, gender, beliefs or ideologies, while respecting the principles of impartiality, neutrality and independence.
