AALTO is a Finnish womenswear brand based in Paris, that proposes a luxurious wardrobe with a non-conformist attitude. Born in 2014 from the curiosity to explore the constant rivalry between the raw and the elegant, designer Tuomas Merikoski aims to merge the honest and rough essence of the Finnish youth with French sophistication. Throughout every season, AALTO aims to collaborate with artists, graphic designers and photographers in order to strengthen its Finnishness. AALTO is part of the official Paris Fashion Week schedule and has also shown collections at Milan Fashion Week and at the PreHelsinki Fashion Event Week. The brand has won recognition by being a finalist of both the LVMH and ANDAM prizes in 2016, and the ANDAM prize again in 2017.
