Science Gallery London

Science Gallery London, part of King's College London, connects art, science and health to drive innovation in the heart of the city. Our free-to-visit space opened in London Bridge in September 2018. There are many cultural organisations worldwide working to inspire and engage people with a programme blending science, art and technology. Seven factors set Science Gallery firmly apart: 1. A SPACE FOR EXPERIMENTATION We don’t have a permanent collection. Instead we’ll present an ever-changing programme of participatory exhibitions and events meaning that every visit is different. 2. AN OPEN CALL PROCESS We encourage artists, scientists and anyone else with an interesting idea to submit proposals. Our expert curators will select the best ideas to complement our directly commissioned work. 3. A FOCUS ON YOUNG ADULTS Our key audience is young people aged 15-25. We want young adults to have the opportunity to engage with new ideas. 4. LINKING THE UNIVERSITY TO THE CITY AND LOCAL COMMUNITY Based within the Guy’s Campus of King’s College London, we will facilitate a creative and interdisciplinary dialogue between university researchers, staff and students with artists and the local community. 5. DRAWING ON INNOVATION IN HEALTH AND WELLBEING Our close connections to King’s Health Partners and Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust means our programming draws on and reflects a broad range of expertise in health and wellbeing. 6. THE LEONARDO GROUP The group brings together inspirational people from a range of backgrounds. The group helps to shape the direction of the Science Gallery London programme and inspires ideas for future seasons. 7. FREE ENTRY Entry to Science Gallery London will be free and exhibitions are open to all. The capital project has been generously supported by major funders including Wellcome Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity. Science Gallery London is part of the Global Science Gallery Network
