Chamberlains Youth Services
www.chamberlainsyouth.orgChamberlain’s Youth Services is a nonprofit serving youth with complex needs. We serve up to 18 children at a time in our residential program, plus children in our non-public school. Our children come to us from counties all over the state, and often after several unsuccessful placements in traditional foster care placements. We offer more resources that traditional foster families can typically provide. Many of our children have family, emotional and behavioral needs that limit their functioning in school and community life. We address anger management, behavioral control, impulse control, self-awareness, problem solving, assertiveness, communication skills, social skills and appropriate boundaries by providing Social Skills Milieu, Individual, Family & Group Therapy, Psychiatry/ Psychopharmacology, and Case Management services. Residents are encouraged to participate in recreational activities on grounds and treatment plans include community involvement to further help residents to be successful in achieving goals. Residential Counselors complete an extensive certification process within the first six months of employment. The residential program maintains staff members with licenses or credentials in Crisis Prevention and Intervention, First Aid and CPR, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and STRTP Administration.
