The North Carolina Health Information Exchange (NC HIE) is a not-for-profit organization that serves all North Carolina residents as the state-designated entity for health information exchange (HIE). NC HIE supports the secure, electronic sharing of comprehensive health data among providers of all types statewide in order to increase the quality, efficiency and safety of healthcare delivery in North Carolina while reducing healthcare costs.
