Access Monash seeks to improve university access, participation and success for students who are under-represented in higher education, particularly those from low socio-economic backgrounds. Access Monash implements programs to: • encourage participation in higher education • engage with schools, students, families and staff about educational possibilities • provide information about university programs and campus life • provide academic enrichment. The flagship program is the Access Monash Mentoring Program, which pairs VCE students from under-represented schools with university students to familiarise and engage them in university life. Access Monash also offers the Betty Amsden AO Mentoring Program, which matches university students with Monash alumni mentors to help them transition successfully to the workplace and beyond.
