Guru Nanak Dev University College was founded in 1962. It came under the jurisdiction of the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in 1973. It is located in the middle of the city. Firstly, it started as an Arts College and gradually shifted its focus from the traditional to the professional courses.
