The University of Peace was founded in 1960 by Dominique Pire (1958 Peace Nobel Prize), with the view of promoting peace through “Fraternal Dialog”. The daily work of University of Peace is focused on conflict management, through workshops, long and short trainings, symposiums and talks in Belgium or abroad. We also work all over the world (mainly Europe and Africa). Recognized as a Youth Organization by the Belgian government, the University of Peace aims specifically at helping youth and people in contact with them to develop their abilities to be creative and responsible actors of the current society.
