QARTA ARCHITEKTURA is a creative group of Prague architects and engineers making their creations under the supervision of Jiří Řezák, David Wittassek, Rudolf Púchy, and Martina Řezáková, where Jiří and David determine the creative and functional concept of the work, Rudolf manages a team of engineers, and Martina is in charge of the economy and flawless functioning of the studio as a whole. „What I consider to be fundamental for us is that we had the opportunity to contribute to the regeneration of Karlín and to take part in the projects like CORSO Karlín and CORSO II, where we got a chance to work in one team with Ricardo Bofill. It was a great time and thanks to it we have been able to get where we are now,“ says Jiří Řezák. „I think that the core of our success might be the fact that we have never been forced to look for worthless compromise. That´s because our clients give us clear tasks, but also because the architects in QARTY team are very good.“ „We always remember what the foundations of our profession are – any building must serve its purpose,“ says David Wittassek. „Our creativity is presented not only in lines and matter, but also in layout and materials we use,“ he continues.
