We are a registered charity and have been at the heart of accident prevention in the UK and around the world for almost 100 years. Around 14,000 people die as a result of accidents across the UK each year. There are millions of other injuries. Accidents cause loss and suffering to the victims and their loved ones, employers and UK society as a whole. We promote safety and the prevention of accidents at leisure, on the road, in the home, through safety education and in the workplace. Indeed, every year, through our workplace safety training, consultancy, fleet, awards, and membership services, we work with thousands of organisations, both within the UK and overseas, as they strive towards enhanced occupational safety.
