EnerMotion Inc
www.enermotion.comenermotion Inc is a privately held Corporation that has developed the revolutionary patented platform technology known as the Hybrid Power & Energy Recovery (HYPER™ ) storage system. HYPER™ significantly enhances energy utilization and efficiency of power systems - both mobile and stationary engines/generators. HYPER's first product / market entry is over the road heavy trucks. HYPER eliminates energy consuming diesel and battery powered auxiliary power units (APU) currently used to provide heating and cooling while the vehicle is at rest. No longer will additional fuel be consumed or GHG emissions produced from idling the truck’s engine or running an APU. The HYPER™ unit significantly reduces maintenance costs associated with traditional APU's saving substantial operating costs and offering an exceptionally short payback. The HYPER™ is designed for autonomous operation requiring no user intervention. The system does not need to be turned on or off. The driver of a heavy truck simply selects a desired cab or sleeper temperature whether in the cold of winter or the heat of summer – while the vehicle is in motion or with it stopped temporarily or overnight. For the heating operation; waste heat is captured from the engine’s exhaust and ‘conditioned’ through a closed-loop system and stored in a thermal control unit for later use. During the cooling operation; waste heat from the truck's exhaust system is used to drive a refrigeration cycle creating a cold thermal condition. This cold condition is stored and can be converted at a later time giving up its latent heat to provide a source of cooling. No additional fuel is used in either operating condition. HYPER is in road trials with North American customers.
