The Student Support Centre
www.student-support.co.ukStudies demonstrate that parents have a significant impact on a child’s learning. When parents are involved in the learning process, their help can make learning up to six times more effective in assisting a child to learn than if they are not involved. While teachers are core to providing education, children tend to thrive much more when they know their parents are interested in - and engaged with - their studies. In order to facilitate parental involvement in their children’s education, Student Support Centre have created a programme that the entire family can use. Their ‘simply’ programmes put a virtual teacher at the back and call of children and parents seven days a week, who can teach and explain topics over and over again until a child fully understands the materials covered. These programmes are keyed to the National Curriculum, so they provide the essential materials needed for success in maths, English and reading. They can provide the vital external support parents need to help their children and enable full parental involvement in the learning process.
