Comprising ZAPspace Trampoline Park and Pitch Stratford, ZAPspace is a leisure company set up to provide stylish entertainment, activity, restaurant and retail space to children and adults alike. A major redevelopment project has seen the venue formerly known as ‘The Rex’ in Stratford transformed into a stunning indoor trampoline park. The first trampoline park in a theatre, brings a long-neglected old building back to life while retaining many of its attractive features. The wider redevelopment also introduces Pitch Stratford (www.pitchstratford.com) and underground speakeasy, The Curious Fox, to the area. ZAPspace prides itself on having a community focus. The majority of ZAPspace employees reside locally and were recruited via Newham Council’s Workplace scheme. It has also committed to offering 10,000 hours of free bouncing to local schools, giving children the opportunity to exercise in a fun environment. Working closely with Zap Architecture and leveraging its reputation as an exciting designer of fashionable pop-up venues, the first site in London opened in Stratford, near the site of the Olympic Stadium, in summer 2017.
