Founded in 2015 by Jim Krieger, MD, MPH, Healthy Food America works to prevent obesity, diabetes and other chronic diseases by promoting healthy eating. We aim to reduce exposure to and consumption of unhealthy foods while promoting the increased availability and consumption of healthy, unprocessed foods. Today we are helping to energize a movement to reduce the unacceptable prevalence of added sugars in the American diet, by promoting policy and changing industry practice.
