Bart Shaw, AIA is the founder of Bart Shaw Architect, a design practice focused on the emotive power of form, and the ability of materials and individuals to more deeply respond to each other. Prior to this, Bart was a design architect at Hahnfeld Hoffer Stanford Architects in Fort Worth and HKS Architects in Dallas. His notable projects included the Meacham Aviation and Terminal Building, St. Philopateer Coptic Church, Pappagallo - Sundance Square, and Rattikin Square Courtyard and Adaptive Reuse. In 2008, Bart received an Honor Award from the Fort Worth Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for LIFT HOME: an unfolding solution for rapidly deployable disaster relief housing. The following year, was awarded a Studio Award from the Texas Society of Architects. In 2010 Bart's entry in a Holocaust Memorial Competition was selected by Richard Meier and Daniel Libeskind as a finalist from an international field of 715 entries. He is a recipient of the Young Professional Award from AIA Fort Worth and his work and writings have been published in 360 West Magazine, Texas Architect and Construction News.
