MAKE A CHANGE is a non-profit organisation, whose first branch was officially founded in 2013 in Nairobi (Kenya). Its origin derives from the non-profit program “We build a school for Nairobi” initiated by Benedikt Baratsits-Gruber in 2012, which turned out to be great success. As a consequence, the project’s scale was changed from helping a small local African community into having a global target area. In order to ensure the required legal background, MAKE A CHANGE Int. Development – Holding was founded in Austria in 2014 so as to become an umbrella for many MAKE A CHANGE branches, like in Canada, USA, Tanzania, Uganda, Pakistan or China. The foundation of our organisation is the deep belief, that we can only transform our society, if we show and allow people to participate. Throughout the world there are many problems still to be solved. Human beings all over our planet are facing poverty, starvation, war, illnesses and violation of their very basic human rights. Being aware of these issues at hand, we must treat it as our responsibility to act as well as react to these circumstances, which life has given them and make people suffer unaccountably. Due to this fact, we became a network for everybody, who intends to make a positive change. We have several programs in various countries, which offer people from throughout the world the possibility to be part of an international community, which donates time, love and passion to our development programs.
