Brisbane's Coolin' By Sound is run by music publicist, Michelle Padovan and Australian music journalist and record store owner Steve Bell. Having spent the best part of the last two decades championing Australian music in their respective careers, they joined forces in 2016 to form Coolin' By Sound Records with debut releases from Brisbane's Thigh Master, Sydney's Shrapnel and new music from ex-Pavement founder, Spiral Stairs. The label has since worked with exciting Australian indie acts The Gametes, Tape/Off and Dumb Things and in 2019 partnered with Redeye Worldwide to help deliver releases to new listeners across the globe.
