Code Kentucky
www.codekentucky.orgA spin-off of the highly successful Code Louisville program, Code Kentucky launched its first cohorts in Eastern & Northern Kentucky in September 2021. We produce qualified, dedicated graduates to fill the high demand for talent in the software and tech marketplace throughout Kentucky. Code Kentucky provides 12 weeks of software development training in a range of topics leveraged through the Pluralsight platform. When entering the program, students choose one of the following pathways to follow: Web Development with JavaScript, Software Development with C#, or Data Analysis with Python. Pathways consist of two, consecutive 12-week classes to give students a deeper dive into the subject area that interests them most. There may be an option for other class offerings beyond the pathways, in areas like Ruby on Rails, Salesforce, JavaScript frameworks, UX Research, and more. Students meet virtually once per week during the 12-week session to seek guidance from mentors, solidify their learning, and work on projects. They also spend about 10-15 hours per week completing the required Pluralsight track and working on their project outside of class. Our graduates will launch exciting new careers in tech, including roles as developers, programmers, designers, QA analysts, business analysts, project managers, digital marketers, and more. Code Kentucky is run by KentuckianaWorks, in partnership with the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet, the Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program, Inc. (EKCEP), the Northern Kentucky Investment Board (NKWIB), and last but not least, employers who want Kentucky to be known as a place where technological innovation happens. We are partnering with state-wide and national companies to provide employment opportunities to future program graduates. Contact us today with open positions you feel may be a good fit for our graduates.
