Angel Xpress Foundation (AXF), a citizen led movement to bridge the social divide. *What is AXF?* A 12A & 80G certified NGO, AXF enables educated & committed citizens to tutor, mentor & guide school going-children from slums in their neighbourhoods. Free learning centers are set up in community spaces like parks where volunteers meet students for an hour everyday. From 18 children on the day the movement was launched in 2012, by 2019 AXF had - 700+ volunteers - 2200+ students - 20 Centres across Mumbai *Who volunteers?* Stay-at-home mums, retired citizens, students, & professionals who can spare 2-3 hrs/week *What do they teach?* - English, Math, Lifeskills for grades 2 to 8, School curriculum (SSC/HSC) for students upto Grade12 - AXF YEP (Youth Engagement) offers Career & academic counseling, mentoring & job readiness workshops for job readiness (spoken English, Digital literacy, softskills & a scholarship program giving bright students from poor homes a real shot at success. *Covid response at AXF* - Monthly Ration/Cash aid for student families & other individuals & families in distress from April to August - Student Volunteer interaction shifted online to ensure continued learning - Smartphone redistribution drive & sponsoring of datapacks for students, distribution of text books & notebooks. *How can you help?* Sign up to volunteer - we need people who can coach students from Hindi/Marathi medium, (8th grade & above) in Math, Science, Languages etc. Sign up https://tinyurl.com/ycd3nx3a Nearly 1400 students attend online classes.
