KAWA is short for Pohutakawa, which is a native tree to New Zealand where our founder comes from. The Pohutakawa tree has unmistakable bright red distinctive flowers and the mythology of the Pohutakawa tree is that it travelled across a great expansive ocean to settle and thrive in a foreign lands
