We are one of the largest research-intensive psychology departments in the UK, with experts in Behavioural and Cognitive Neuroscience, Developmental & Clinical Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Social & Applied Psychology. 91% of our research was rated world-leading or internationally excellent in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework. Our undergraduate course is accredited by the British Psychological Society, and we also offer a broad range of postgraduate courses, including professional certificates and diplomas. We were ranked 16th in the Complete University Guide 2021, but most importantly our students consistently give us good marks in the NSS. We work closely with employers in the charitable, research, commercial and industry sectors, to offer our undergraduate students the opportunity to apply for a professional placement.
