Thirsty Thoughts is a drinks innovation agency. specialising in mind-controlled beer pouring robots. In this age of wandering minds and fleeting attention spans, very little can capture the attention of a crowd of revellers. That’s why we created Thirsty Thoughts, a fleet of mind controlled drinks pourers which require you to focus to get what you want. In the Summer of 2016, a serial entrepreneur, robotics expert and neuroscientist walked into a Bristol bar for a Sunday afternoon drink and catch up. A year later, they walked out with the first fully functioning mind controlled beer pouring robot, Homer. Created initially as a passion project for Star Wars mad entrepreneur Seth Jackson (Strange Thoughts, Landmrk, Indie Mobile), the jedi-esque robot was a collaboration between Strange Thoughts, an innovation agency that has worked with some of the biggest brands on the globe, and the world famous Bristol Robotics Lab. Two years after Homer’s inception and a handful of events for prestigious clients such as Google, Twitter, Marriott and KPMG, Homer finds itself on its third iteration. With each iteration comes a slicker robot with higher functionality, better gamification and more sophisticated technology as the driving force behind it. Our work doesn’t stop there however. Future iterations have been concepted and our team have been tasked with bringing those concepts to life. These include a prosecco pouring robots, a child-friendly version involving Mentos and Coca-Cola and a portable version for pop up bar.
