PaxEuropa
www.paxeu.orgPax Europa is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit platform that advocates dialogue, peaceful resolution and cooperation as ways of promoting local and regional socioeconomic development, open societies and collective political maturity. We engage, facilitate and promote the bridging of gaps and removal of hurdles between the different pillars of contemporary democratic societies - historically seen through the prism of four estates. What distinguishes Pax Europa from other organizations is the unique view that in order to establish successful and progressive societies, the public debate must involve and engage the nonprofit or nongovernmental pillar, alongside the separate estate, which we call, the Expat Factor. This group mainly consists of individuals and small groups of people that have the potential to make huge changes to the economic and political landscape by promoting trade and targeted direct investments, creating unique businesses and spurring entrepreneurship and mixed local-foreign partnerships while transferring relative knowledge and skills. In general, we focus on studying and understanding the macro geopolitical landscape by performing in-depth analysis of the complex security, political, economic issues and seeing how those can improve the lives of the ordinary citizen on the micro level. In that light, at Pax Europa we see phenomena like brain drain and waste as symptoms of deeper rooted issues that demand special attention. Our organization puts special emphasis on supporting and engaging previously neglected or overlooked locals and expats such as: research analysts, social scientists, business professionals and leaders, post-graduate and other students of progressive and democratic public policies and ideas. We believe this can be done by putting together and stimulating the organic cooperation between the local community and its diaspora.
