At Tandem we believe that ALL women are strong, brave, valuable, lovable, and capable. But the world, people in our lives, and unfortunate circumstances cause us to question our abilities and worth. Sometimes the pressure of this life is too much and we give up or give in. We have found a solution: Community. We believe that when you have someone in your corner you are capable of ANYTHING. When you have support, encouragement, and someone to walk alongside you, it is easier to take the next step, even when life is hard. We are creating a community of mamas who are pursuing the struggle of life together. And we are a community of mamas who are coming out on the other side stronger, braver, and better than before. For more than 40 years, motherhood has been the intersection at which we meet the women and children we serve. Tandem has been their soft place to land, offering a full spectrum of support and services to equip these families in breaking the cycle of crisis and poverty. Tandem is a 501c3 non-profit based in Minneapolis, MN. Services include prenatal medical care (midwives), mental health resources (individual therapy and support groups), crisis intervention (case management/advocacy), parenting and life skills education, employment readiness and vocational training, and humanitarian aid.
