Established in 2014, the NYU-CUNY Prevention Research Center (NYU-CUNY PRC) implements, evaluates, and disseminates community-clinical linkage interventions to reduce health disparities in diverse communities of New York City. The NYU-CUNY PRC is one of a network of 26 existing CDC Prevention Research Centers located throughout the country. The NYU-CUNY PRC's core research advances the study of innovative combinations of community and clinic-based interventions for improved linkage to preventive care and chronic disease prevention and management. The overall goals of the NYU-CUNY PRC are to: • Expand and sustain a prevention science research infrastructure to advance applied public health research and accelerate translation of research into practice. • Engage partners for translation of research findings into practice. • Disseminate and communicate research findings and translation products to multiple audiences through traditional and innovative formats. • Provide training, technical assistance, and subject matter expertise to our local stakeholders and colleagues across the PRC network to facilitate translation of applied public health research to improve population health.
