Professor Kerry Arabena founded First 1000 Days Australia to inspire and foster healthcare professionals to provide meaningful support and understanding to new and soon-to-be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander parents and families. Understanding that the healthy growth of a child starts prior to conception, the First 1000 Days Australia course teaches participants to understand the circumstances and environment surrounding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families. With this knowledge, they are better equipped to provide support and guidance to best shape healthier and more prosperous futures for their children.
