The Shore Foundation provides access to technology for low-income individuals and families in our community. Over the last 3 years The Shore Foundation has donated over 1,000 refurbished computers to non-profit organizations and schools in Upstate New York. Bridging the digital divide and improving lives through access to technology. As technology becomes more integrated with our day-to-day activities, it also highlights divisions of access, especially for low-income families. The simplest description of the digital divide is the gap that exists between people who have access to modern information/technology and those who lack that access. The Shore Foundation is working hard to bridge this gap through refurbished laptops, desktop computers and other accessible technology.
