Since 1996, the Instituto de Montaña (IdM) has partnered with mountain people to transform their livelihoods, protect their cultures and thus conserve vital natural resources for the planet. IdM's inclusive approach has lead to innovative solutions and more sustainable local economies that help conserve plants native to mountain areas and the wildlife that depend on high mountain ecosystems.
