Initiative for What Works to Advance Girls and Women in the Economy (IWWAGE) is an evidence-generation to action-use program that aims at building on existing research and generating new evidence on women’s economic empowerment. The program is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and is housed within the IFMR LEAD (IFMR Leveraging Evidence for Access and Development) ecosystem. Its vision is to invest in women’s economic empowerment to enable gender equity, poverty reduction, and inclusive economic growth.
