We offer two certifications for RNFAs: • RNAS-C is for the new RNFA, or for the RNFA who does not yet hold a bachelor’s degree. • CRNFA requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 2,000 hours of practice in the RNFA role. NASC strives to advance the quality of Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) professional practice by providing a national credentialing process. This process will promote nursing excellence; competence, and patient safety by assessing knowledge, skills, and experience based on recognized perioperative standards of care. Our vision is to build trust and champion the credibility of the certified RNFA within the global healthcare community.
